As a former college football player who has had a dozen surgeries, I have found the benefits of cannabidiol to be a revelation.  Like many former football players,  I got used to living life in constant pain due to the many injuries I sustained during my career.  At different times I would take opiate-based prescriptions to help manage and relieve the pain, but I hated the side effects and the way they made me feel.  I also worried about the damage they were doing to my liver and other organs.   Finding all-natural cannabidiol made it possible for me to eliminate the use of opioids completely while managing my pain much more effectively...without the side effects and damage to my body.

At Extracted Love, we have seen many pet owners see the same benefits for their ailing pets that I have experienced.  The testimonials keep piling up, and they all reinforce the effectiveness of using CBD to treat pain and anxiety in pets.

We are often asked what cannabidiol is and how it works in the body.  A recent article by Eben Britton (a member of a large group of former NFL players advocating for the use of cannabidiol and medical marijuana to treat their injuries) does a great job in describing how it works in the body to stimulate healing and pain relief.  "There is mounting research that shows the medicinal properties of cannabidiol including healing broken bones, reducing pain and aiding in recovery following traumatic brain injury. A key focus in this research has been the Endocannabinoid System, a group of naturally occurring cannabinoid receptors in the brain, heart, lungs and bones, as well as throughout the nervous system.  These parts of our bodies are responsible for a variety of physiological processes, including  appetite, pain sensation, mood and memory.   When bodily damage occurs, whether it is a broken bone or a concussion, endocannabinoids flood the receptor sites, initiating the healing process".

In a nutshell, the use of cannabidiols stimulates the production of endocannabinoids in the body, bolstering the affects of our own cannabinoid system in relieving pain and inflammation, among the many other benefits. Whether it's a testimonial from a retired NFL athlete or seeing the tail wagging from one of our satisfied furry customers, we love hearing every success story.
